Description

Size: 5.1" / 13 cm (holds 10 cm / 3.9" scroll)

Flowers are a central symbol in Armenian art, representing ongoing inventiveness, ability and openness to languages of form, renewed growth and harmony. This Mezuzah features a lovely, colorful flower motif.

The Mezuzah is designed in a typical Armenian design in a blue flower motif. The flowers are majestic Armenian tulips in red, yellow, blue, orange and green leaves. Flowers represent harmony and growth and this is captured with the colors which each represent something special. Blue is known to represent tranquility, spirituality and living beneath the sky while orange stands for creativity and a hard-working nature. Green is a symbol of growth and abundance. The middle of the Mezuzah is decorated with the letter Shin, a letter form Hashem's name, in a framed white and black flower.

This wonderful Mezuzah is great to place along the doorposts of homes, businesses and public and private buildings.

Bring a touch of art, history, culture and Jerusalem to someone's home with this lovely piece.

Note: This is only the Mezuzah case and does not come with a scroll.

Note: Armenian ceramics are delicate and should be treated with care. Each piece is individually hand made with the ancient skill of mixing and shaping clay and water and then placing the object in an oven or kiln at a temperature of 1000°C until it hardens. The piece is then beautifully hand painted with metallic and oxidized paint, maintaining a natural color and then placed again in the oven at the same temperature. The finishing touch is one of fine glazing.
