This unique Chumash is designed to echo the Tablets (Luchot) when open and presents the Torah with facing Hebrew and English pages and beautiful decorations. The cover is made from leather and is decorated with an image of Jerusalem, Jewish symbols and motifs around the outer edges and a 935 sterling silver medallion that measures 37mm in diameter. The medallion is designed for a Bar Mitzvah and features a child reading from the Torah together with the phrase “Ben Shalosh Esrei LeMitzvot” that means “At age 13, the Mitzvot” and is a phrase from the Ethics of the Fathers regarding life. The medallion sits inside a circle that creates the image of the sun and is framed by the Hebrew phrase “Ki MiTzion Tetzeh Torah U’Dvar Hashem Mi-Yerushalayim” that means “For from Zion cometh the Torah and the word of G-d from Jerusalem” in English.
