Tallit - Hand Painted with Jerusalem Gate in Turquoise SilkThis Yair Emanuel Hand Painted turquoise silk Tallit has a hand painted view of the Old City of Jerusalem together with its gates and comes with a matching Tallit Bag and Kippah.
The sweeping view of the Holy City is surrounded by turquoise and midnight blue stripes above and below and also has been hand painted on its four corners that are also tied with Tzitzit. This Tallit features the Hebrew phrase "Lehitatef BaTzitzit" in turquoise and midnight blue on its Atara and is the final two words of the blessing made when putting on the Tallit that translates as "To wrap the Tzitzit" in English.
There is a mitzvah, or commandment, in Judaism for men to wear to fringes on a four-cornered garment. In the modern age, it is uncommon for people to wear this type. So in order to fulfill this mitzvah, men wear a garment on themselves known as Tzitzit and attach fringes with the same name to the garment. In addition to this, men also wear a four-cornered garment called a Tallis during prayer services.
