Manuscript Poster with Blessings over Meals and Illuminations

This poster features a replica of a manuscript drawn and written in Moravia in the middle of the 18th Century in Nikolsburg and features Hebrew text and illuminations. The Hebrew text appears in a clear Hebrew font is vowelized and appears in different sizes at the top, middle and bottom. The bottom of the manuscript features depictions of Moses and Aaron and the outer edges feature leaves, flowers and various fruits and grains. This item is a perfect gift for the lover of ancient manuscripts!

This manuscript was written and painted in 1755 by Shmuel Dreznitz, a scribe living in Moravia in the town of Nikolsburg. The original materials used were parchment, gold leaf, pen and ink as well as tempera.

This poster comes with a certificate from the Israel Museum as well as a small pamphlet with background information in Hebrew and English.
