14 Karat Yellow Gold "Yevarechecha HaShem" Star of David Dog Tag with Diamond

This 14 karat gold dog tag pendant features a diamond surrounded by a Star of David in the front and the phrase "Yevarechecha HaShem", Hebrew for "May G-d bless you" and the opening phrase of the Priestly Blessing, on the back.

During the Temple Era, the Kohen Gadol - the High Priest - would bless the Jews daily. The blessing included divine protection, peace and general blessings upon the Jews. Over time, parents started giving the blessing to their children during the Sabbath, holidays and before embarking on a journey.

The Jewish Star, or Magen David, is an ancient symbol that dates back to King David, whose army used it as a talisman to guarantee victory on the battlefield. Since then, the Magen David became a Kabbalistic symbol that invokes G-d to protect the wearer with the full force of the seven levels of heaven against all spiritual and physical dangers.
