  • Israel, That Pesky Little Country

If a green-eyed Martian landed at the United Nation building, he would report back to Mars about the wonderful countries populating Planet Earth. Specifically, his account might describe the block of fifty-six Muslim nations entrusted in making this planet a peaceful habitat for all humans: Lebanon is on the Security Council, Libya on the Human Rights Council, Sudan on the Commission of Human Rights, Egypt and Pakistan on Economic and Social Council, Tunisia and Indonesia on Population Council, and Iran appointed to the Commission on the Status of Women.

Benjamin Netanyahu – Would You Trade Places With Him?

  • Why World of Judaica does not Report on Shalit

Posted By Mike Rosenthal on October 07, 2010 | Leave a Comment

Those readers of this news blog may have realized that we don’t report on Gilad Shalit developments. This does not indicate that we don’t care about the soldier, but indeed that we care too much to report about any developments in the case for the secure of his release. Indeed, the phrase, “at any price” is often heard when it comes to his release, but in reality, there is no such thing as “at any price”. It is now culturally unacceptable to assassinate or execute Hamas leaders in order to bring about his release because that would be “lowering to their level”.

  • Burqa off, halal on!

I barely had time to register with an approving nod of the head the French authorities’ decision to abolish the burqa in public places and already a new tribulation in this ongoing drama of conquering the western world by Muslim fanaticism has been sprung on us.

  • Tea Party Peace Talks

The Tea Party’s recent victories in primaries this past weekend, including shocking upsets of the Republican establishment candidates in Delaware (Chistine O’Donnell on the right) and New York, is the first time in American history since the Democratic and Republican parties were solidified that an anti establishment movement has ever garnered any serious power. Since the mid 90?s American politics have been teetering in radical shifts, the public unsure of what they wanted, just knowing they want something different from what was being offered thus far in their nation’s capital in Washington.

  • Oil Found In Israel

Those who have been following this news blog may have noticed that World of Judaica reported on the progress of the Magad 5 oil well, and may have also noticed by reading the op ed section that I am a religious man. On that basis I am going to make a prediction for tomorrow, September 15th 2010, when the final engineers’ report is due on the oil well Magad 5 being dug by the Gevaot oil exploration company in Rosh Ha’Ayin. I am making this prediction solely on the basis of biblical verses and a series of what may seem to be coincidences, but to me at least they are clear, and I hope they prove to be true.

For the Lord your God will bless you as He told you. You will lend to many nations but you will not borrow. You will rule many nations but they will not rule you.

As I was covering the news today, it suddenly occurred to me that everything is coming to a head and fast. Four things are coming together all at the same time, and it all is quite ominous, though I am never one to freak out and give up.

A friend in need is a friend indeed – as the well-worn saying goes. Unfortunately in these hectic times there are not too many nations that we can call our true friends, but here and there we discover distant glimmers proving after all that we are not alone.
