    Several American websites have reported last weekend that the head of Israeli spy agency the Mossad, Meir Dagan, visited Saudi Arabia only a few weeks ago to discuss the subject of the Iranian nuclear program with his counterparts. A few weeks ago, rumors began spreading on the internet about Israel dropping off military equipment in Saudi Arabia in preparation for an attack.

    In an almost shocking departure from his usually controlled tone, Ma’ariv columnist Ben-Dror Yemini recently penned a blog for the newspaper’s website entitled “The New Empire.” Yemini, normally associated with Israel’s center-left, warned, in a scathing and arguably alarmist tone, of a “new empire” threatening to destroy the Jewish State. Surprisingly enough, he claims that famous Israeli author Amos Oz is a part of it.

    Egyptian newspaper Al-Masrion is reporting that Washington and Cairo are conducting negotiations with Hamas over the possible arrival of two past presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton to the Gaza Strip. According to the report, the two will discuss the blockade and a possible deal to free the captured soldier, which has been at a standstill for months.

    In a detailed report on the long term consequences of an Israeli attack on Iran, the Oxford Research Group has concluded that, in the end, the only way to prevent a nuclear Iran is to treat a nuclear Iran as inevitable, and follow it with a “process of balanced regional de-nuclearisation.” In other words, the only way to prevent a nuclear Iran is for Israel to give up nuclear weapons after Iran becomes a nuclear power herself.

    With the conclusion of a particularly stormy session, the Knesset Law Committee passed MK David Rotem’s (Israel Beiteinu) proposal five to four in favor a first reading in the Knesset. The Likud faction absented the vote, and MK Gafni (United Torah Judaism) was removed from the plenum. MK Nahman Shai (Kadima) said to Rotem: “Bibi will not stand up to American pressure. He’ll only stand up to law.”

    The piano playing is stellar, the music original, and the video edited seamlessly. So far the video has gotten close to 200,000 hits in under a week and hundreds of comments, and the number is still growing. The video expresses Israeli frustration for being singled out and not able to defend itself against attacks without suffering severe criticism. The song is sung in alternating English and Hebrew lyrics in an interchanging rhythm with subtitles in both languages. The refrain repeats, “Nobody cares about Jewish blood.” The mainstream media has yet to report on the phenomenon.
