This silver plated pendant features an eagle together with green text on the front and has the image of a Seleucid king on the back and can be attached to a snake chain.

This silver plated pendant is modeled after an ancient half-Shekel coin and features an eagle on the front together with Greek text that translates as “King Demetrius” in English and a palm branch. The back of this pendant features the image of the Seleucid king Demetrius II. This coins that served as the inspiration for this pendant is one of 561 coins found at Qumran and have been date to 126CE and likely came from Tyre, in Lebanon. This item is an excellent gift for any occasion!



This pendant comes with a certificate from the Israel Museum as well as a small pamphlet with background information in Hebrew and English.
