Ceramic Seder Plate with Pre-1492 Spanish Design

This bright ceramic Seder Plate features geometric designs in blue, white and red in the center and outer rim and has Hebrew text in the center.

This ceramic Seder Plate features red and white geometric patterns in the center and outer rim that include paisleys diamonds, lines and dots. The center of the Seder Plate features a blue, white, gold and red design that includes circles with eight sections. The Seder Plate also features the Hebrew words “Seder, Pesach, Matzah and Maror” that refer to the Seder meal and the important items from the holiday of Passover. This item is a great gift for a Judaica collector!

Seder Plates are frequently decorated with intricate designs. This Seder Plate is based on a design created before the Spanish Expulsion in 1492 and features gadroons and floral patterns as well as geometric shapes. The Seder Plate also contains spelling errors in the Hebrew text that suggest the plate was made by a non-Jewish artist who was unfamiliar with Hebrew.

This Seder Plate comes with a certificate from the Israel Museum as well as a small pamphlet with background information in Hebrew and English.
