Product Description
Type
The Dalton Merlot Reserve is made using grapes from the Kerem Ben Zimra vineyards, carefully selected during late September to early October. The juice was warm fermented, then pressed and put through malolactic fermentation. Finally, the wine was stored in French oak barrels for a little more than a year.
The wine has won one medal: Bronze Medal International Wine and Spirit Competition 2004.
Taste
The Dalton Merlot Reserve is a dark, rich wine. It contains tones of sweet fruit, plums, and cherries, combined with the gentle, yet spicy, flavors of toffee, vanilla, and cloves, resulting from time in the oak barrel. Dalton suggests this wine be served with lasagna, casseroles, grilled meats, or barbecued steaks and chicken. The wine is also great on its own.
Temperature
Suggested serving temperature is 61 – 64 degrees F.
